No CAD software is needed to use my3Dplayer. You only need to download your 3D model. This is a SaaS product, that is, there is no software installation required.
You can use the following web browsers: Chrome / Firefox / Edge in 64-bit version
64 bits, the most recent version possible is recommended.
Check your browser version (64-bit) or refer to the question below.
The file limit depends on several parameters:
the type of web browser used. Web browsers impose RAM limits. We recommend using Google Chrome 64 bit.
the number of pieces. Beyond 5000 pieces, the management of the assembly in my3Dplayer is not always guaranteed.
the number of shake triangles used to display a component (image quality). Beyond 1,500,000 triangles, assembly management in my3Dplayer is not always guaranteed.
There are solutions to lighten your 3D model.
You can find a tutorial on this topic here: https://www.lynkoa.com/contenu/comment-baisser-la-fac%C3%A9tisation-sous-solidworks
You can empty the cache of your browser or perform a Ctrl + F5
There is no limit. You can create as many sequences as you like
There is no limit. You can create as many steps as you want.
There are no limits in the number of users. This is the number of players that is limited according to your subscription.
It is possible to recall the position of the saved camera by double clicking anywhere in the 3D.
/! \ Attention keys 1 to 0 are those of the top of keyboard, not those of the numerical keyboard.
Currently, SOLIDWORKS, STEP, CATIA, CGR, Inventor, Creo, NX, 3DS, STL, OBJ, COLLADA files are accepted.
Currently, only SolidWorks formats allow materials to be recovered. Only the materials natively included in the SolidWorks components are compatible. If you applied materials in the assembly or in part configurations in the assembly, it will not work.
You can do the following animations: * Translation * Rotation * Transparency * Flashing * 3D annotation * Bursts * Cutting view
You can also play on parameters of duration, delay.
On an existing player, click on the button titled “More Actions” and then on the submenu “Change CAD file”.
You have the possibility to change 3D model.
For example, if your 3D model has been modified or evolved at design level in the CAD software, then you will be able to download this new 3D model in my3Dplayer.
In case you have already created animations, however, be careful about the changes that this might involve: check the consistency of your animations.
Create your player by performing disassembly animations.
When you are on the management page of a player, click on the “more actions” menu on the sequence you want reversed and choose “reverse sequence”. A window appears asking you: “Do you want to reverse the steps of this sequence to generate a new one?” Then click on validate. In your player, a new sequence will be generated with the inverted steps, which will correspond to a montage sequence.
On each player you will find a share button, click on it. From the window that appears, you can either:
Thus, those who view the player can do it in offline mode on a computer, a tablet or a smartphone.
You must first download and install the application ‘my3Dplayer’ on your device.
Players can also be viewed in virtual reality (Windows).
You will find all the information on the installation page of this help
You can share your players unlimitedly to as many people as you want.
The 3D interactivity (move the piece) is valid both in editor mode and in playback mode.
When publishing your player, you have an option for: change visibility: you can add a password to your player add a timeout: you can give a 7 or 30 day timeout
If you do not renew your subscription, the published online players will be unpublished and will no longer be available. The information will be kept online but it will not be possible to edit it, except to delete it. You can apply to export this data if you want to keep it at home. If you renew your subscription later, you will find all your players.
The data of my3Dplayer is hosted in a datacentre of our own (NC2 company acquired in 2017). The datacentres of NC2 are in France and they are ISO 27001 certified.
Your CAD file is converted on our server in a proprietary format, only readable by our my3Dplayer application. This proprietary file contains only geometry and piece metadata information that can not be used by CAD software. Once your CAD file is converted, it is removed from our servers. It is therefore not possible to steal your intellectual property.
We recommend the use of Oculus Headset or Steam VR Compatible, connected to a PC. autonomous headsets are not compatible. Mixed Reality headsets based on Microsoft XR technology work but are not recommended. For more information on VR equipment, you can read the following page:
